Welcome to the Student / Dependent Enrollment Center! We are here to help make enrolling as easy and as painless as possible.
We suggest you review your brochure and rates before starting the enrollment process. The plan’s benefits can be found in the brochure within the Schedule of Benefits section with the exclusion towards the back. To view your brochure, please click here.
Please note: If you do not enroll for the year during the fall open enrollment period, you will not be able to enroll later during the 2011-2012 school year without experiencing a “life change. This means that the loss of coverage is no fault of your own or the policyholders (i.e. you get married or become too old to be on a family plan). You will be eligible to enroll within thirty days of this “life change. After thirty days, you will no longer be eligible. Please click here to contact us for cost and more information.
Full-Time Students (Hard Waiver)
Full-Time Undergraduate Student taking 12 or more credit hours, a Full-Time Graduate Student taking 9 or more credit hours, or a full-time student as defined by the students department, you are required to purchase this insurance unless proof of comparable coverage is furnished.

PLEASE NOTE, Hard Waiver Students: The Optional Major Medical Coverage cannot be purchased through the Enroll/Waive site. For Hard Waiver Students to enroll in the Optional Major Medical coverage, you must fill out an enrollment form and mail it in with your payment. The enrollment form with payment must be received in our office within two weeks after enrolling in the basic coverage. If received after the two week grace period, you will not be eligible to enroll in the Optional Major Medical and your enrollment form and payment will be returned to you. Please see Enrollment Instructions below.
If you have previously waived out of the insurance and would like to enroll, or if your non-school sponsored coverage is being terminated and you are now looking to enroll in the Student Injury & Sickness plan, please CLICK HERE to contact us.
International Students (Hard Waiver)
All International students, on Rutgers University F or J visa sponsorship, regardless of the number of credit hours, are automatically billed for this insurance plan at registration and will be enrolled unless they request an exemption from that coverage through the Center for International Faculty and Student Services based on alternate insurance. All students in the PALS (Program American Language) and Visiting Scholars are required to purchase this insurance, unless proof of comparable coverage is furnished.
Part-Time Students
If you are a…
Part-time student taking 1 or more credit hours but not a Full-Time Undergraduate Student taking 12 or more credit hours, a Graduate Student taking 9 or more credit hours, a full-time student as defined by the students department you are eligible to enroll. Please see Enrollment Instructions below.

Part-Time Students: complete an on-line enrollment form, have your credit card ready and please click here. (if you are already enrolled and only need to enroll your dependents, you will not be able to use this method. You must enroll your dependents with an enrollment form or Use MYACCOUNT Instructions listed below.
Full-Time and Part-Time Students: If you are already enrolled and only need to enroll your dependents, you will need to create a “MyAccount. Once you are logged in, you may enroll your dependents by clicking on the “Dependent Enrollment button on the MyAccount page. This will allow you to enroll your dependents without being charged a second time for the student premium. (If you are a Full-Time Student already enrolled and ONLY need to enroll in the Optional Major Medical, you cannot use this method. You must enroll with an enrollment form.)
- To enroll by mail - download an enrollment form and submit by mail using a check or money order. The mailing address is listed on the Enrollment Form.
International Students:
International Students will be automatically billed for this insurance Plan at registration and enrolled upon payment of the "International Health-Major Medical Fee" on your term bill.
